“I royally fucked up, man.” Grayson took a long drink from his beer and stared out the window. He was at the bar with Brandon. They were supposed to be playing in a dart tournament, but the team they were supposed to be competing against hadn’t shown up. And honestly, Grayson didn’t care if they showed up or not. He was in a foul mood.

“With Danica? I thought you were over that,” Brandon said.

“No, not Danica.” Grayson sighed and shook his head. “Kylie. Kylie Jameson.”

“What?” Brandon’s voice was low, bordering on angry. “Since when are you into Kylie?”

Grayson shifted his gaze back to his friend. He wasn’t going to let Brandon give him shit about Kylie. “Since the day I first met her.”

Brandon narrowed his eyes. “Dude, what the hell is going on?”

“I’ve always had a thing for her, and when Danica and I split, I started talking to Kylie on Facebook. We went out a couple of times.” He shrugged. “But I pissed her off and now she’s not speaking to me.”

She hadn’t agreed to continue to take his pictures, though technically she hadn’t said no either. She’d just grumbled something about needing time to think about it and then she’d walked out on him. That was four days ago, and she still wasn’t taking his calls. He hadn’t seen her on Facebook, either. Clearly she was avoiding him. That could only mean one thing: She was blowing him off.

God, I’m such a shit, he thought to himself. Why did I lie to her about being back together with Danica?

“You had sex with her?” asked Brandon.

“Yup.” Grayson wasn’t ashamed of that fact either. In fact, he was proud of it. Proud of how he’d given her multiple orgasms. Proud of how she’d screamed his name, demanded more.

“Hmm.” Brandon finished his beer and stood from the booth. “I’m getting another beer.”

Grayson hung his head. Great. Now Brandon was pissed at him, too. Although Grayson couldn’t figure out why. According to Kylie, Brandon had his chance and he blew it. Grayson drained his beer and stood. To hell with this, he thought. He left and stopped outside on the sidewalk. The air was chilly, and he wanted nothing more than to go to Kylie, to wrap her in his arms, to warm his body with hers. He leaned against the building and pulled out his cell phone.

“Hello?” Her voice was drowsy.

“Kylie.” He closed his eyes, overwhelmed by the relief the sound of her voice gave him. “I want to see you.”

“It’s the middle of the night.” She yawned.

“It’s eleven o’clock.”

There was a long pause on her end and then she said, “I’m sure your girlfriend will love it if you come see me. Goodbye, Grayson.” The line went dead. He redialed her and was surprised to have her answer again. “What?”

“Can we please do some photos in the morning?” He had to see her. One way or another, he had to get himself in the same room with
